Zach Holifield’s effort not enough to carry the Wildcats past Keller as Plano lost 3-0 in seven innings on Friday night in the first game of Bi-District play.
Holifield was a workhorse on the mound for the Plano Wildcats. He pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out two.
Corbin Bozosi recorded the win for Keller. He pitched 5 2/3 shutout innings. Bozosi struck out four, walked four and gave up one hit. Holifield was the game’s losing pitcher.
Keller got one run across the plate on a fielder’s choice in the first inning. After posting one run in the fourth, Keller again scored one in the sixth. In the fourth, Keller scored on an error, plating Zane Wilkinson.
