Plano Wildcats lost 10-7 in seven innings on Tuesday, despite outhitting Hebron 12 to eight.
Mitchell Hansen had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and tripled in the sixth inning.
David Rodriguez got the win for Hebron. He allowed four runs over four innings. Rodriguez struck out six, walked two and gave up seven hits.
Zach Deloach, Layne Moore, Alec Davis and Ross Lowe helped lead Hebron. They combined for six hits and five RBIs.
Jacob Mattox ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
The Wildcats scored three runs in the first inning, and then followed it up with three more in the sixth. In the first, the Wildcats scored on a sacrifice fly by Conner Allen, plating Graham Welch.
The lead stayed with Hebron after the second, when it scored five runs on a three-run home run by Moore and a single by Evan Alexander.
Hebron pushed across one run in both the third inning and the fifth. In the third, Hebron scored on an RBI single by Lowe, scoring Deloach.
Hebron built upon its lead with three runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Deloach doubled, bringing home Derek Mueller to kick things off.
