Plano Wildcats Fall to Arlington Lamar

Plano out-hit Arlington Lamar five to three, but it wasn’t enough in a 4-1 loss on Thursday. Lamar took the lead for good with four runs in the fifth inning. In the fifth Jacob Mattox walked Wesley Powell to drive in a run, there was an error, scoring one run, Jacob Pfaff singled off of Mattox, driving in one run, and Mattox walked Shaughn Kelly to drive in a run.

Mason Wommack earned the win for Arlington Lamar. He tossed seven innings, giving up one run, five hits, and walking none. Mattox took the loss for Plano. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, two hits, and striking out six.

Garrett Maas, Braley Hollins, Cole Foster, Matthew Alamia, and Anderson Acinger all had one hit. Lamar didn’t commit a single error in the field. Kameron Weil had the most chances in the field with seven.
