Plano Takes Early Lead In Win Over Wylie

An hour lightening delay pushed the start time back to 8:30 but Plano came out swinging and jumped out to an early lead over Wylie, taking home a 12-1 victory on Tuesday. Plano scored on a double, a walk, a single by Jackson Richardson and a single by Kennedy Medlock in the first inning.

Plano took an early lead in the first inning. Conner Allen doubled on a 3-2 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Jacob Mattox earned the win for Plano. He went five innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out nine. Tyler Bridgewater took the loss for Wylie. He threw four and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs, ten hits, and striking out six.

Plano had 16 hits in the game. Cole Foster, Braley Hollins, Kennedy Medlock, Conner Allen, and Jackson Richardson each collected multiple hits for Plano. Medlock, Hollins, and Foster each collected three hits to lead Plano. Plano didn’t commit a single error in the field. Anderson Acinger had the most chances in the field with eight.
