Plano Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Lovejoy

An early lead helped Plano defeat Lovejoy 4-3 on Friday. Plano scored on a single by Anderson Acinger in the first inning and a double by Troy Lee in the second inning.

Benjamin Patterson earned the win for Plano. He tossed five innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, striking out five, and walking one. Caden Foster recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Plano. Jordan Yoder took the loss for Lovejoy. He went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering four runs, nine hits, striking out five, and walking none.

Plano had 11 hits in the game. Acinger and Nic Melson each collected multiple hits for Plano. Troy Lee, Melson, Foster, and Acinger each drove in one run to lead Plano.
