Plano Loses Lead Early In 0-9 Defeat

Plano watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-0 loss to Byron Nelson on Thursday. Byron Nelson scored on a groundout by Banks in the first inning and a wild pitch in the second inning. Byron Nelson took an early lead in the first inning. Banks grounded out, scoring one run. Byron Nelson scored five runs in the fifth inning. Byron Nelson’s big inning was driven by a wild pitch, a stolen base by Baaed, and a single by Luna.

One bright spot for Plano was a single by Jackson Richardson in the second inning. Maddox earned the win for Byron Nelson. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering no runs, one hit, and striking out three. Jacob Mattox took the loss for Plano. He tossed four and a third innings, surrendering five runs, eight hits, striking out one, and walking one.

Richardson and Marcus Scafidi each managed one hit to lead Plano. Byron Nelson had 11 hits in the game.
