Plano Jumps Out To Early Lead Over Martin

Plano grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-3 victory over Martin on Friday.

Martin scored three runs in the first inning, but Plano came back in the second inning and scored seven on a single by Kennedy Medlock, a fielder’s choice by Braley Hollins, a single by Troy Lee, a double by Anderson Acinger, a single by Jackson Richardson, and a single by Nathaniel Haynes.

Kennedy Medlock jump started inning and singled off of Sackett, driving in one run, Sackett induced Braley Hollins to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Troy Lee singled off of Sackett, driving in one run, Anderson Acinger doubled off of Sackett, driving in two runs, Jackson Richardson singled off of Sackett, driving in one run, and Nathaniel Haynes singled off of Sackett, driving in one run.

Derrick Sievert earned the win for Plano. He went seven innings, giving up no runs, three hits, and striking out two. Sackett took the loss for Martin. He tossed three innings, giving up eight runs, seven hits, and striking out three. Connor Hart started the game for Plano. He tossed, allowing three runs, and two hits. Plano totaled 12 hits for the outing. Medlock, Lee, Richardson, and Haynes each had multiple hits for Plano. Lee and Medlock lead the team with hits, managing three each.
