Plano Goes Down on Final Play Against Allen

A walk-off left Plano on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Allen on Friday. The pitching was strong on both sides. Allen pitchers struck out eight, while Plano sat down five.

Plano captured the lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Plano. Ty Chezem earned the win for Allen. He went two innings, allowing no runs, one hit, striking out one, and walking none. Caden Foster took the loss for Plano. He threw two innings, allowing three runs, one hit and striking out two.

Ronnie Taylor started the game for Allen. He threw five innings, surrendering two runs, two hits and striking out seven. Matt Foster started the game for Plano. He tossed four innings, giving up no runs, three hits, and striking out two.

Garrett Maas and Nic Melson each drove in one run to lead Plano. Allen collected seven hits.
