Plano Falls to Heritage After Fifth Inning Run

Friday’s game against Heritage was a heart-breaker for Plano, as Heritage took the lead late in a 2-1 defeat. The game was tied at one with Heritage batting in the bottom of the fifth when Guerrero singled off of Matt Foster, driving in one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Heritage pitchers struck out four, while Plano’s Foster sat down six.

Heritage took an early lead in the second inning. Ehringer homered on the first pitch of the at bat in the second inning, scoring one ruun. In the top of the third inning, the Wildcats tied things up at one. An error scored one run for Plano.

Stanford earned the win for Heritage. He went six innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and striking out three. Bailey recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Heritage. Matt Foster took the loss for Plano. He threw six innings, giving up two runs, four hits, striking out six, and walking none.

Garrett Maas, Joey Winkler, and Nic Melson all had one hit to lead Plano.
