Plano Falls To Coronado On Walkoff

Plano fell to Coronado 9-8 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at eight with Coronado batting in the bottom of the sixth when Hensley singled off of Chance Bolter, driving in one run.

Plano took an early lead in the first inning on an error scoreing one run for the Wildcats. Plano scored another run in the top of the fourth and Coronado answered with one of their own.

Plano Wildcats Varsity scored when Anderson Acinger singled off of Lin, driving in a run. Then Coronado answered when Pfeiffer singled off of Troy Lee, driving in one run.

Plano scored four runs in the fifth inning thanks to a single by Cole Foster, a single by Nathaniel Haynes, and a error.

Lin earned the win for Coronado. He threw three innings, allowing five runs, seven hits, and striking out two. Chance Bolter took the loss for Plano. He tossed one inning, surrendering two runs, two hits, striking out two, and walking zero.
Swindell started the game for Coronado. He tossed three innings, allowing three runs, six hits, and striking out three. Lee started the game for Plano Wildcats Varsity. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs, nine hits, and striking out eight.

Home runs for Coronado came when Sifrit homered in the second inning and Swindell homered in the third inning.
Plano had 13 hits in the game. Nic Melson, Acinger, Mason Badour, and Haynes each collected multiple hits for Plano. Melson led Plano with three hits in three at bats. Coronado collected 11 hits.
