Plano Takes Early Lead In Win Over West

Plano jumped out to an early lead over Plano West and took home an 8-5 win on Tuesday. Plano scored on a double by Garrett Maas and a single by Anderson Acinger in the first inning.

Plano West scored three runs in the third inning, but Plano prevailed. The big inning for Plano West came thanks to a triple by Nick Anz and a double by Jack Sigrist.

Plano captured the lead in the first inning. Garrett Maas doubled on a 2-0 count in the first inning, scoring one run. Plano scored five runs in the third inning. Plano scored on a single by Cole Foster, a single by Jackson Richardson, a fielder’s choice by Kennedy Medlock, and a single by Braley Hollins.

Plano West scored three runs in the third inning. Plano West’s big inning was driven by a triple by Anz and a double by Sigrist.

Jacob Mattox earned the win for Plano. He tossed six innings, giving up five runs, five hits, striking out five, and walking none. Caden Foster recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Plano. Jeff Wilson took the loss for Plano West. He went seven innings, surrendering eight runs, eight hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Plano collected eight hits. Richardson, Foster, and Maas each collected multiple hits for Plano. Maas, Foster, and Richardson all had two hits to lead Plano.
