Keller’s Sixth Inning Charge Helps Upend The Plano Wildcats, 4-2

Keller took the lead in the sixth inning, and the Plano Wildcats were unable to muster a comeback, losing 4-2 in seven innings on Friday at McKinney Boyd.

Cody Farhat blasted two home runs for the Plano Wildcats. Farhat went 2-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Farhat homered in the third and fifth innings.

Gage Martinez got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out five, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Plano’s Graham Welch got in four innings of work allowing one run and striking out four.

Connor Barnard ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.

In the bottom of the third, Plano grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A solo blast by Farhat started the inning off.

After a quick strike from Keller, Plano responded with one run in the fifth. Plano scored on a solo home run by Farhat.

The lead stayed with Keller after the sixth, when it scored three runs on an error and two singles.
