Cody Farhat went 1-2 and hit a home run as the Plano Wildcats took home a 3-2 victory over Lewisville in seven innings on Friday.
Farhat solo homered in the first inning.
Mitchell Hansen handled Lewisville’s lineup with ease, racking up 12 strikeouts. Hansen allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over six innings.
Jacob Mattox got the win in relief for the Plano Wildcats. Mattox pitched one inning and allowed no runs.
Angelo Gennari was charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
The top of the first saw Lewisville take an early lead, 2-0. Matthew Nemecek tripled to ignite Lewisville’s offense, before Tristan Buschow singled, bringing home Nemecek. Lewisville added more runs when Buschow scored on an error.
The score was tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th, Quinn Waterbury led off with a triple and Graham Welch drove in Waterbury with a walk off single to right field. The Wildcats win the game 3-2.
